Indio Canyon is a proposed development of 1,200 single- and multi-family homes for lease at Avenue 43 and Calhoun Street in north Indio. Indio Canyon is ideal for people who want a new home in a high-end community without the commitment of a down payment and mortgage.

Connected Neighborhood One of the goals of Indio Canyon is to provide housing for a new generation of Indio residents who will work, shop, and dine at local businesses and participate in community events and activities within the city and around the region.

The Specific Plan for the project covers approximately 60 acres, with half the land to be developed now with 340 high-quality detached homes and townhomes.

The 30 acres to the west would be developed later, with a separate design review and approval process. This second phase would consist of up to 860 units of triplexes, fourplexes, bungalow courts, townhomes, garden apartments and multi-story apartments.

The Indio Canyon development team is a collaboration of McRae Gomez Companies and Creation Inc., a Fortune 500 company, bringing more than 40 years of successful development experience together. The McRae Gomez team has owned this parcel of land and other properties in Indio for more than a decade and is a stakeholder in the success of the City of Indio and the Coachella Valley.
